This course helps students build confidence, set meaningful goals, manage time, think clearly, and improve study habits. Students will learn how self-belief shapes effort and success, how goals and time management turn dreams into action, how thinking skills grow through practice, and how strong study strategies make learning easier. Whether in high school, GED preparation, college, job training, or adult learning, these sessions encourage students to stay motivated, overcome challenges, and feel more prepared, confident, and in control of their future.

Career and Life Planning: Making Choices for Work, Learning, and the Future helps students and adults explore the purpose of work, understand themselves, research career options, and make confident career decisions. Participants will learn practical job search skills, build strong work habits, and discover how everyday choices shape long-term success. This course encourages independence, personal growth, lifelong learning, and community involvement, while showing that the future need not feel overwhelming. With planning, flexibility, and smart decision-making, each person can take meaningful steps toward a successful future.

In this ATI Job Club course, you’ll learn how to create (or improve) a professional resume that clearly highlights your skills, education, and experience, along with ATI course certificates, that connects your skills and strengths to a specific job. You’ll explore multiple resume formats, learn the key components employers look for, and practice turning an “average” application into a polished, competitive package. You’ll also learn why your resume should be a living document—updated as you gain new skills, ATI certifications, and accomplishments.
